Stanley Thomas Warren, 88, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at Winter Haven Hospital. He was born October 26, 1927 in New York, New York. Mr. Warren received his education in Industrial Arts and Vocational Education at the N.Y. State Teachers' College in Oswego, NY after serving in the United States Navy. After moving to Bartow in 1953, he taught Industrial Arts in the High School and Adult Vocational Education at the Travis Vocational Center and earned his Master's Degree. Later he became a Vocational Consultant for the State of Florida. He enjoyed playing saxaphone with the "Regionaires" and local bands. He also bowled for many years. He was a member of McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church in Bartow. He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Gloria; two daughters: Sue A. Warren, Stockbridge, Ga; and Patti Jo Warren, Orlando; a son Howard Thomas Warren, Bartow; 3 granddaughters: Alison, Margaret and Emily; 3 great grandchildren: Thomas, Eleanor and Patrick. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial services at 11 A.M., Saturday June 11, 2016 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
