Silka Del C. Ortiz

Silka Del C. Ortiz, age 56, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at her residence in Bartow. Born June 16, 1963 in Sante Fe, Vereguas, Panama, Mrs. Ortiz was a resident of Bartow for twelve years, moving from Deerfield Beach, FL. She was a Cafeteria Cook for Lakeland High School for 10 years. She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church of Lakeland. Mrs. Ortiz was survived by a loving family including her husband of 28 yrs: Waldemar Ortiz of Bartow, two sons: Kenneth Ortiz & Kelvin Ortiz, both of Jacksonville, FL; her mother: Francisca Cisneros of Panama, three brothers: Jaime Bernal & James G. Hilton, both of Panama, & Edgar J. Hilton, Plant City, FL; four sisters: Aida Cisneros, Doris Hernandez, Susana Hilton, all of Panama, and Elizabeth Hilton Smiley, Plant City. Family will receive friends Monday, July 15, 2019 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, with a prayer service being held at 6:00 P.M.
