Shirley Ann West

Shirley Ann West 70 of Mulberry passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at her residence. Born in Columbus, GA on December 1, 1940 she moved to the area in 1984. She worked for the Krystals Hamburger chain for many years in GA and as a fabricator for Ametek Gauge Company for five years in Bartow. Shirley was a member of the Bartow Moose Lodge and attended the Victory Life and Praise Church in Bartow. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Inez Tripp; daughter Sandy Barwick; brother Mack Tripp and grandchild Tammy Renee' Hudson. She is survived by her husband of twenty years Leslie West of Mulberry; daughter Diane Kirkland and husband RJ of Muberry; two sisters Helen Stanley of Valley, AL and Hatte Faye Tripp of Valley, AL; two brothers Forrest Paradise of Columbus, GA and Buddy Tripp of Valley, AL. Two step sons Buddy West of Geneva, AL and Brian West of Lakeland, FL. Step daughter Tonya Bates of Geneva, AL. Five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11th from 2-4pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow with a service starting at 3pm.
