Shirley K Watkins

Shirley Kaye Watkins, age 59, of Bartow, died Friday, June 19, 2009, of respiratory failure at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. Born May 17, 1950, Mrs. Watkins was a a lifelong resident of Bartow. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse; an US Army veteran and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents: J.C. & Nellie Watkins and a brother: J.L. Watkins. She is survived by her son: Devon Watkins of Atlanta; 2 brothers: Rev. Kenneth & wife Linda Watkins of Brandon; Tom & wife Beverly Watkins of Melbourne; 2 sisters: Martha Downs of Smyrna, TN.; Linda & husband Charles Wolfe of Bartow. Family will receive friends Sunday June 21 from 4-6pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Monday June 22, at 2pm at the Funeral Home.
