Shirley Louise Roed

Shirley Louise Roed 88 passed away Saturday August 28, 2010 at Palm Terrace Hospice in Lakeland. Shirley was born in Oak Park, IL and moved to the area from Fox Lake, IL in 1972. She was a homemaker. Shirley was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran in Bartow; Bartow Garden Club and the Bartow Lions Club where she received the Governors Achievement Award in 1984. She also attended the Bartow Golden Age Club regularly. She was preceeded in death by her husband Walter Roed and a son Ronald Roed. Shirley is survived by a daughter Lynda Doty of Bartow and seven grandchildren Cherie Zogleman of WI; Richard Davern; Kelly Keegan; Krista Sokolski; Charlotte Slater; Monica Kelly and Nathanial Roed all of IL. A memorial service will be held Thursday September 2, 2010 at 1pm at the Redeemer Lutheran Church 390 East Parker Street Bartow, FL 33830.
