Shirley S. Davison Pittenger

Bartow- Shirley S. Davison Pittenger died on November 23, 2021, at the age of 95. She was born February 17, 1926, to Clovie Rash Davison & Shirley T. Davison in Delaware County, Indiana. She and her late husband Bob moved to Bartow, FL in 1957, from Selma, Indiana. Shirley & Bob traveled several years with their Avion and made so many memories and friends. In 2014 they downsized and moved to Floral Lakes M.H. Park in Bartow. Shirley was a member of First Methodist Church of Bartow, President of Golden Age Club, she belonged to Red Hats of Floral Lakes, Lunch & Brunch, and found time to volunteer at Bartow Chamber of Commerce & Main Street office of Bartow. She was also a member of Golden Girls from First Methodist Church. Shirley is preceded in death by her sister Lois Vardaman of Indiana (2011), Bob, husband of 69 years (2013), daughter Janet Essary (2015), & great grandson Hunter Southard (2018). She is survived by her daughter Linda Rahmatian (Ali) of Iran, son-in-law Patrick Essary, grandchildren Ben Southard (Lisa) of Lakeland, Deanna Pavlou (Peter) of Greenwich, CT, Chris Milligan (Noami) of Texas, and Scott Southard (Talisha) of Winter Haven. Great grandchildren John Brooks (Haley), Caleb Brooks, Tristen & Andrew Pavlou, Camden, Sydney, & Bryce Southard, Jake & Luke Milligan, and Bree & Austin Newsome. Family will receive friends Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery.
