Mrs. Shirley L. Locke, age 51, of Bartow, died Friday, December 5, 2008, at Bartow Regional Medical Center in Bartow, FL. Mrs. Locke was native of Bartow, born May 24, 1957 and lived here all her life. She was a member of Lake Ruth Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Lavon & Ruby Claxton and two sisters Maxine Helms and Irene Ohara. She is survived by her Three Sons, Mr. Ryan Locke of Big Spring, TX, John Locke and Preston Locke both of Bartow. Five Sisters, Carolyn Claxton, Hazel Odom, Patricia Randall and Linda Evans all of Bartow, and Janie Colson of Tallahassee. One Brother, Marvin Claxton of Bartow and Six Grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street, Bartow, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Thursday, December 11, 2008. Funeral service will be at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 11, 2008 , Rev. David Sizemore officiating. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL.
