Shirley A. Currie

LAKELAND - Shirley A. Currie, 70, of Lakeland died October 11, 2016 in Houston, TX. She was born October 8, 1946, in Bartow, FL to Robert Luna and Lois Boutwell Luna. Mrs. Currie was Christian by faith and worked for many years as a switchboard operator for Florida Global Citrus. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Bobby Jean Currie; son Scotty Currie; and brother Donald Luna. She is survived by her sons Lonnie Jean Currie, Bobby J. Currie and his wife Nanette, Christopher Leon Currie and his wife Terri Ann, Jaime Lee Currie, and Shawn Currie; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 10-11 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow with Funeral Services to follow at 11 AM. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery.
