Sherry Hancock Wyser

Sherry Hancock Wyser, age 75, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024. She was born in Bartow, FL on November 11, 1949 to John D. and Martha M. Hancock and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade, She graduated from Fort Meade High School, Class of 1967. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Meade since 1958 and a member of her Sunday School class the Sonbeams. Sherry was a Girl Scout Leader, Band Booster, Little League coach, Co-Chairman for Relay for Life, Garden Club and the Historical Society. She was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins, loved gardening, building outdoor decorations and her crafts. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 56 years, Joe Wyser. Her father, John D. Hancock and mother, Martha M. Hancock. Sherry is survived by her daughters, Wendy Wyser Schipp of Lakeland and Amy Wyser Gargus of Fort Meade. Grandchildren Anthony Roberts, John Gargus and Alexis Gargus all of Fort Meade and Berlyn Schipp and Ashlyn Schipp of Lakeland. Sherry never wanted to live without the laughter of her grandchildren and loved them "To the Moon and Back." Family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Fort Meade, 307 East Broadway. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
