Sheila Adams

Winter Haven - Sheila Adams, age 72, passed away September 22, 2023, at Winter Haven Hospital. She was born on October 2, 1950, in Donaldsonville, GA. She was a Social Worker for the Dept. of Children and Families. She was a volunteer for the Bartow Guardian Ad Litem, Youth for Christ & MAMAS program, and Polk Correctional Institute Chaplain Program. She was preceded in death by her husband James Adams, son Jimmy Adams Jr., parents Sammie & Hazel (Murkerson) Howard, sister Louise Williamson, brothers Rayburn Taylor & Clayton Howard and granddaughter April Roach. She is survived by a loving family that includes her son John Adams of Lakeland, stepdaughter Brenda Botts Weber (Bud) of Winter Haven, brother Edward "Bubba" Howard (Cheryl Mauk, GA, sisters Brenda Losh of Auburndale, Maudie Jiskoot (Bjorn) of Bartow, sister-in-law Cathy Howard of Ocala, 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
