It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sergio Percy Naveda Mendoza, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away on July 24, 2026. Born on October 20, 1967, in Chimbote, Peru, Sergio was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and devotion to his family and community. 

Sergio was the cherished son of the late Dora Mendoza (Aguilar), whose love and guidance shaped the man he became.He leaves behind his devoted wife, Linda Cruz Naveda, who was his steadfast partner in life; their six children: Alfredo, Andy, Andreiv, Dareany, Estefany, and Marina; his siblings Reyana, Maira, Galindo, Yohanny, and Violeta; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and five beautiful granddaughters, Alice, Angie, Analiz, Adhara and Isabelle who brought immense joy to his life.

From a young age, Sergio found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His favorite pastime was watching futbol (soccer), and he had a deep passion for teams like Barcelona, Argentina, and Inter Miami. Whether cheering on his favorite team or simply enjoying time with family, it is today that we remember how Sergio's love brought people together.Sergio's career as a contractor was both something he enjoyed and a representation of a good work ethic. Yet, it was his passion for his family, both near and far, that truly defined him. 

A man of faith, Sergio was an active member of Casa De Refugio, where he found a spiritual home and a community. His presence was marked by a genuine smile and his ability to make others laugh, qualities that endeared him to everyone he met.Sergio's life was characterized by a remarkable generosity of spirit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, never expecting anything in return. His big heart and selfless nature touched countless lives, leaving an enduring mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.Sergio was loved by many, and his memory will continue to uplift those he leaves behind. As we remember Sergio, we are reminded of the ways he enriched our lives.Sergio Percy Naveda Mendoza will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his memory will be cherished forever.
