Sara F. Long

Bartow - Sara F. Long, age 92, passed away on October 16, 2025, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland. Born on October 17, 1932, in Plant City, FL, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Leila Jane ( Keen) Farabaugh. Mrs. Long was a longtime Bartow resident and a Member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Mrs. Long retired from The Clerk of Courts, Polk County Courthouse on June 30th, 1995. Mrs. Long was a member of St. Thomas Women’s Club and the Bartow Lioness Club. She enjoyed playing Bunco, going to hymn sings, attending church functions and spending time with her grandchildren & friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Long, son Donald Edmund Nooe, stepdaughter Betty Coker and her siblings. She was survived by her daughters Lana N. Brown of Lakeland and Debi Gordon (David) of Bartow, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and dear friend Linda Dillman. Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
