Mrs. Sara Alexander Clements, age 85, of Bartow, FL, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven. Mrs. Clements was born March 7, 1924 in Tampa, FL. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was Phi Beta Kappa. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Bartow, she was a member of the church Share Program and the Needlework Guild. She was a Founder Volunteer at the Church Service Center in Bartow. Mrs. Clements was an avid Quilter and Artist, she and her son, Jeffery designed and built a wonderful house for her sister Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lawrence Clements.
She is survived by her three sons; Jeffrey L. Clements, John Daniel Clements (Diane) and James F. Clements (Susie) all of Bartow, FL. Daughter; Lucy Clements Lack (Don) of Temple Terrace, FL and Sister Alice Elizabeth Alexander of Bartow.
She also leaves behind two Grandchildren; James Alexander Clements of Bartow and Carole Michele Lemley of Tallahassee, FL.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 10 to 11 am, with the Memorial Service at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 500 West Stuart Street in Bartow.
