Sandra D. Vigil's love of life didn't come to an end with her death. Sandra passed away at the age of 33 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Sandra had a decorated career serving in the U.S. Army National Guard over 15 years, participating in the Iraq War as a soldier, assisting in multiple natural disaster relief missions, and helping the Florida community during the COVID-19 pandemic. A graduate with a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, she worked as an accountant for 5 years. The simplest pleasure in life brought great joy to Sandra. She loved a quiet evening with friends and a glass of wine in hand. Sandra had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. Sandra is survived by her mother Sandra Ramirez of Miami, son William Phoenix Rodriguez, daughter Eva Victoria Rodriguez, two sisters Judith Vigil and Ashley Martinez, and grandparents Oscar & Sandra Boniche. She was an exemplary leader and mentor, a beloved mother, a caring daughter, and a wonderful sister. Family will receive friends Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow.
