La Crosse, FL - Sandra M. Howell, age 66, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 in Gainesville of respiratory failure. She is remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Born December 18, 1945 in Lake Garfield, FL, Mrs. Howell was a resident of La Crosse for several years, moving from Bartow. She is preceded in death by her son: Lyn C. Howell, father: J.D. King & sister: Myrtle Everett. She is survived by her husband: Bernard L. Howell; two sons: Layne Howell & wife Teresa of Gainesville; Jason B. Howell of La Crosse; mother: Edith N. King & sister: Mary Pearce, both of Moultrie, GA; brother: J. Paul King of Bartow; four grandchildren: Ryan, Ashlyn & Ellyn Howell of Gainesville & Ethan Howell Lang of Lakeland; brother-in-law: Marty Howell & wife Jolene of Babson Park; brother-in-law: Thom O'Connor & wife Linda of Voorhesville, NY; sister-in-law: Tina Jenkins of Weaverville, NC and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.
