Samuel "Sam" James Mckinley

With heavy hearts, the McKinley/Chestnut families regret to announce the passing of Samuel James McKinley age 29, a beloved son, brother, and friend. “Sam” was born February 3, 1991 in Bartow, Florida. He grew up in Bartow, attending the Oaks School, Union Academy, Bartow Senior High School, and then Polk State College. Sam enjoyed reading his Bible, journaling, outdoor activities including Peace River Youth Soccer, Little League Baseball, fishing, camping, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. Sam is survived by his father Richard McKinley, mother Janice Chestnut, sister Sara McKinley and extended family. Those who knew Sam cherished his love for his family, sense of humor, warm heart, incredible hugs and infectious smile. Sam will always be in our hearts and forever missed.
