Samuel Richard Morris

Samuel Richard Morris, 82, of Bartow, FL, died Saturday, September 5, 2009. Mr. Morris was born December 3, 1926 in Dearborn, Michigan. He was a Merchant Marine and served during WWII. He was a Supervisor of Facilities Maintenance for American Airlines. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a Lifelong member of Moose Lodge. He was also a Member of Elks and the American Legion. Mr. Morris moved to Bartow in 1985 from Belleville, MI. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Delores E. (Wilkinson) Morris of Bartow. Two Daughters; Pamela Ann Merritt of Bartow and Sandra Alaine and her husband Bradley Tooman of Bartow, FL. Three Brothers; Homer R. Morris, Jr. of Belleville, MI,cJames Morris of Bartow and John Morris of Nortwood, OH. Grandson Daryl Merritt and Great Grandson Samuel John Merritt of Raleigh, NC. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street, Bartow, FL.
