Sam Thomas

Bartow -Sam Thomas, age 62, passed away June 10, 2021. He was born on January 26, 1959 in Bartow, Fl to Virginia and Sam Thomas. He worked for Polk County Land Development as a County Surveyor. In his free time Sam really enjoyed being out on the water fishing on his boat, watching the Florida Gators play football and spending time with friends & family. He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Thomas, father Sam Thomas and brother Jerry Thomas. He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife Brenda Thomas, children Heather Davis (Derek) & Michelle Olivier (Troy), sisters Carol Lewis (David) & SueAnn Butsch, 7 grandchildren and 5 nieces & 1 nephew. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 5-6pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. A Memorial service will follow at 6pm at the funeral home.
