Sally Anne (Knight) Seabury

Sally Anne (Knight) Seabury, 95 of Iowa City, Iowa, died peacefully after a brief illness Wednesday afternoon, August 12, with her family beside her. Sally was born December 6, 1930, in Bartow, Florida. She graduated from Salem College in North Carolina in 1952. She lived in Houston, Texas for most of the next 25 years before returning to her native Florida to work in the business office of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa. She moved to Iowa in 2002 to be closer to her grandchildren. Sally loved the outdoors and was an avid birdwatcher, beachcomber and gardener. She was also a devoted fan of women’s basketball, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and Indiana Fever. She is survived by her children, Mary Stone (Edwin) and Terrence Seabury, her grandchildren Nicholas Stone and Carolyn Reddick (William), and her great granddaughter Reese Reddick. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Institute for Vision Research at the University of Iowa.
