Sally Murphy

Sally Wilkes Murphy, age 88, of Bartow, died Sunday, August 31, 2008, at Rohr Nursing Home in Bartow. Mrs. Murphy was born January 4, 1920 in Lyons, GA. She has been a resident of Bartow since 1931, moving from Fort Meade. Mrs. Murphy was a seamstress for Belk Lindsey Department store in Bartow for over 10 years.She was preceded in death by her husband: Ray E. Murphy. She is survived by her son: Jerry Wayne Hendrix of Lake Wales; Sister-Ouida Ford of Bartow; 4 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday, September 4, 2008, 2-3 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
