Sally Ann King

Sally Ann King 66 of Bartow passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A native of Michigan she moved to Bartow with her husband Leonard and their children in 1970. Sally was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked throughout Polk County during her career. In particular The original Polk General Hospital in Bartow, Lake Wales Hospital and was currently working for the Polk County School Board at the Bartow Middle School as their onsite Nurse. Sally was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Leonard J. King of Bartow. Son Michael King and his wife Charlotte of Lakeland and their two children, Matthew and Mark. Daughter Sheila Wise and her husband Jerry of Felton, Delaware and thier children Andrew, Amber and Amber's son Kaiden, Sally's only great grandchild. Her son Thomas King of Bartow. Sister Rose Marie Boatwright and her husband Greg of Kathleen. Also many other extended family members and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24th from 6-8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 10am at the Funeral Home Chapel. Donations may be made in Sally's memory to her niece Wendy Lujan and her family who are active Missionaries in Peru. These donations may be made at the Funeral Home.
