Ruth Snelson

Mrs. Ruth Snelson, age 90 passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Mrs. Snelson was born on March 15, 1920 in Minnesota. She was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress. She also loved to paint ceramic works. Ruth was instrumental in the initial establishement of and a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Bartow. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Graydon Snelson, daughter Merilyn Reed, parents; Louie and Minnie Kietzer, sister Evelyn Hegwood, and brother Delbert Kietzer. She is survived by her daughter JoAnn Haggbloom, sons; Armond Snelson, William Snelson, and brother Donald Kietzer. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Stacy (Reed) Rinear, Andrea Malvin, Stella Malvin, Garret Malvin, Richard Haggbloom, Jr. , Tracy Reynolds, Cindy Wintheiser, Dawn Napier, Beth Snelson, and fourteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday April 15th from 10-11am at the Redeemer Lutheran Church 390 East Parker Street in Bartow. Services will follow at 11:00am also at the church. Interment will follow with services in Minnesota. Memorial contributions may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Bartow, 390 East Parker Street, Bartow, FL, 33830.
