Ruth Charlene Elzinga, 77, of Fort Meade, FL, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012, in Bartow, FL. Ruth was born July 24, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan. She moved to Fort Meade from Fort Lauderdale over 30 years ago. Ruth was a member of McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church in Bartow. She is survived by her husband; James Elzinga of Fort Meade. Foster son; Kem Goodrich of Sumterville, FL. A Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 19, 2012 at McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway in Fort Meade.
