Ruth C. Brunson

Ruth C. Brunson, 94, died Tuesday, Sept 30, 2008, at Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale due to complications from an auto accident. Born September 3, 1914 in Bad Axe, MI, Mrs. Brunson was a resident of Bartow for 33 yrs, moving from Grosse Isle, MI. She was a sales clerk for Sears Department Store in Michigan for 20 yrs. She was a member of Faith Wesleyan Church, Lakeland. She is survived by her husband: Jack H. Brunson of Bartow; son: Rev. Donald Preston of Riverview; daughter: Geraldine Bodwin of Carp Lake, MI; 2 sisters: Olive Frasier of Allen Park, MI & Jewel Zonno of Melvindale, MI; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren & 3 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday October 3, 2-3 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will follow 3 pm. at the funeral home.
