Ruby E. Harrison

Ruby E. Harrison, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home in Lakeland. Born June 23, 1943 in Williston, she was the daughter of the late Eston and Maggie Smith. Mrs. Harrison was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. Ruby worked as a payroll clerk for Publix and was also a realestate agent for Harry Griffin Realty. She is preceded in death by her sister Eloise Rouselle and three infant children. She is survived by a loving family that includes her daughter Wanda Testerman (David) of Lakeland, her son Daniel John Harrison (Lacy) of Jacksonville, three grandchildren; Amber Haake (Scott), Christopher Davis and Shelby Harrison. She also leaves behind a great grandchild Elizabeth Haake and extended family members; Paul Levasseur (Nicole), Rick Levasseur (Susan) and Brainne Thresher. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 6th from 5PM to 7PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Services will follow on Friday, March 7th at 2:00PM at the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Moffitt Cancer Centers at moffitt.org
