Rozene Proctor, 79, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale of renal failure. Born August 17, 1934 in Fort Meade to Charles and Vada Cannon, Mrs. Proctor was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade, having lived in Winter Haven for the past few years. Mrs. Proctor worked for First State Bank in Ft. Meade for 16 years, and as a secretary for Alcoa Aluminum for 21 years. She was a member of Heartland Community Church of Winter Haven. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ulysses Proctor. Two daughters: Nancy C. Kendrick (Ed) of Winter Haven and Lisa P. Mitchell (Travis) of Bartow; four grandchildren: Lauren Young (Chance), Hunter Mitchell, Chloe Mitchell & Griffin Mitchell; two great grandchildren: Colton & Kenzie Young. Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the First Baptist Church, 307 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 at the Church with Rev. Ed Kendrick and Rev. Rod Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade, Condolences to family at McLean Funeral Home.net
