Royce E. Altman

Royce E. Altman, 93, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Born February 21, 1923 in Bartow, Mr. Altman was a lifelong resident. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WW II. He was a Parts Analyst with Linder Industrial Machinery Company of Lakeland for 25 years. He was a charter member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. Mr. Altman was preceded in death by his son: James Altman; a sister: Louise Day; two brothers: Robert & Bill Altman. He was survived by his wife of 64 years: Margaret Altman, Bartow; 2 sons: Martin L. Altman [Sara], Atlanta, GA & Thomas E. Altman , Winter Haven; sister: Peggy Whitehurst, Aiken, SC; 2 grandchildren: Jaime & Kent Altman & 2 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday, June 3, 2016 from 6:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral Home.
