Roy Gene Spivey

Roy Gene Spivey, age 73, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in Winter Haven. Born March 27, 1943 in Soperton, GA, he was the son of the late George and Eula (Mathis) Spivey. Mr. Spivey was a boilermaker by trade and belonged to the Boilermaker's Union Local #433 in Tampa. He was also a Mason. Mr. Spivey is survived by a loving family that includes his wife, of 31 years, Sherry Spivey of Bartow, his son Aaron Spivey (Katherine) of Norfolk, VA, his daughters: Amber Leigh Spivey of Tampa, Skotti Frese of Cumming, GA and Shayne Hassell of Riverview. He also leaves behind his siblings Charlie Spivey of Pomfret, MD, Robert Spivey of Port Charlotte, Mary "Susie" Whitmer of Bremerton, WA, and his grandchildren: Atticus, Gianna Rose, and Daniel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 at 2:00pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow.
