Roy F. Porter, Jr. age 50, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023. He was born March 19, 1973 in Bartow, FL. Roy was a Superintendent for Hubbard Construction formerly Lane Construction. He loved the outdoors on his Airboat , Hog Hunting, Fishing and most importantly spending time with his Family. He was preceded in death by his mother Jacqueline Shaw. He is survived by his wife Melissa Porter of Bartow, two sons Roy F Porter, III & wife Melissa and Trace Porter & wife Heaven both of Bartow, father Roy Porter, Sr. of Aragon, GA, two sisters Lori Sturgill & husband Derick of Bartow and Terri Porter & husband Ryan of Canton, GA. two brothers Daniel O'Neal & wife Candace of Lake Alfred and Jason Porter & wife Caitlin of Cedartown, GA and three grandchildren Heidi, Huxton and Rhett Porter. Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, FL. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home.
