Roy E. Counts, Sr.

Homeland - Roy E. Counts, Sr. age 78, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024. He was born January 9, 1946 in Bartow, FL to Adrian & Cynthia Counts. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for IMC-Agrico Phosphate Company and a Supervisor for many different construction companies. He was a member of the Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Counts, siblings Rosemary Deese, Patricia Case, James Michael Counts and Harry Counts. He is survived by his daughters Karen Campbell of Malone, NY, Brenda Humphry & husband Trent of Homeland and Dakota Counts, sons Roy Counts, Jr. & wife Teena Bartow, Noey Counts of Bartow, Byron Counts of Lake Wales, Darrell Counts of Lake Wales, brothers Joseph Youngblood of Alturas, Charles "Dinky" Oliphant of Alturas, twenty-two Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm Wedesday, October 2, 2024 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to All Children's Hospital.
