It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our Momma, Rowena Hrabal Blackford, on Tuesday April 10, 2024, in Lakeland, Florida. Rowena was the daughter of the late Eddie and Mamie Hrabal, born to them September 29, 1930, in Avon Park, Florida. Besides her parents, Rowena was predeceased by our Father, Andrew A. Blackford, her Brother Eddie Jr. Hrabal, Sister Adav Hrabal Crawford, Daughter Geneva Blackford and Great Grandson Dalton Klein. Left to cherish her memory, her daughters, Kay (Bob) Pochron, Pat (Stanley) Erickson, Lynda (Roger Ashley) Dehaven, Jenny (Steve) Helms and her legacy of 12 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grands and 6 Great Great Grands. She leaves behind a brother, Mcray Hrabal, Sister-in-Law, Patricia Wilkerson and many many Nieces, Nephews, and cousins to grieve her passing. A lover of Old Western movies, a good mystery book and all things Gospel Music, she was 4 ft. 9 inches of faith, determination, independence and perseverance. A faithful member of Scott Lake Baptist Church. We find comfort in knowing her faith was strong, her mansion awaiting in heaven. May she rest in peace and her memory be a blessing to all who knew her. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter thou into the joy of your lord.” Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow.
