Roland H. Ervin

Roland H. Ervin, age 82, passed away from heart failure on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at home in Bartow. Born July 25, 1931 in Florala, AL, he was the son of the late William H. and Ethel Ervin. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Ervin moved to Bartow in the 1960's and worked for many years as a Reclamation Supervisor in the phosphate industry. He was also member of McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church in Bartow. Mr. Ervin is preceded in death by his wife Louise Ervin and his daughter Elizabeth Moore. He is survived by his daughter Susan Donahue of Bartow and his brother Dan Ervin of Lake City. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 26th from 5PM to 7PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Graveside services will follow on Thursday, February 27th at 10:00AM at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church, 695 W.
