Robert T. Ryan

Robert T. "Bob" Ryan passed away April 9, 2013 at his home in Bartow surrounded by his family. Bob was born July 15, 1941 in Buffalo, NY. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Bob’s love of planes brought him to Florida in 1978. He served the aviation community as an aircraft mechanic, pilot, flight instructor and teacher. He later became a commercial truck driver. A kid at heart, he treasured his trips to Disney World and also enjoyed singing karaoke. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Thomas and Lorna Ryan and also by his brother Jimmy. Bob is survived by his wife, Janell; brother and sister-in-law Tom and Teri and his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews; Maureen, Richard, Glenn, Cathy, Bobby, Pammy, Jessie, Bird, Dustin, Debbie, Kristen, Lorna, Michael, Matthew, Harlie, Evan, Makayla, Morgan, Pippy, Calia, Thomas, Patrick, Joanne and Sean. A celebration of Bob's life will be held Saturday, April 27th from 5-8PM at Aircraft Engineering Inc. at the Bartow Air Base.
