Robert F. "Bob" Modrall

Lake Wales - Robert F. "Bob" Modrall, age 77, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Winter Haven Hospital of respiratory failure. Born December 11, 1935 in Scottsville , KY , Mr. Modrall was a resident of Polk County for over 65 years, moving from Kentucky . He was an associate and Vice President of Murphy Chevrolet of Bartow. He continued his career with Murphy Motors of Bartow for several years before retirement. He was a past president of Peace River Country Club and former board member of Bartow Chamber of Commerce. Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Irene Modrall and daughter Fran Modrall. Mr. Modrall is survived by his son, Bobby Modrall & wife Elizabeth of Bartow; a grandson, Robert Modrall of Bartow, a granddaughter, Laura Modrall of Bartow; a half-sister, Sandra White & husband Bob of Goodlettsville, TN; a half-brother, David Modrall & wife Freddie of Lawrenceburg, KY. Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden- McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St , Bartow. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery , Bartow. Memorials may be made to the Fran Modrall Scholarship fund c/o Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL.
