Robert L. Mccabe

Robert L. McCabe 82 passed away Nov. 26, 2009 from cancer at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. A native of Iowa he resided in Bartow for 39 years and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Polk Enviromental Services. Robert was also a Navy veteran and of the Church of Christ Faith. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Ella McCabe of Bartow; daughter Pamela Horne and husband Curtis of Winter Haven; two sons Steven McCabe of Lakeland and Randall McCabe of Bartow; two brothers Billy and Charles McCabe both of New London, Iowa; three half sisters Karen McCabe, Minnie Schimms and Betty Wixon all of Burlington, Iowa; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and nine nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday Nov. 30, 2009 at 2pm at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.whiddenmcleanfuneralhome.com
