Robert H. Atherton

Mr. Robert H. Atherton, age 80, of Vero Beach, FL, died Thursday, February 14, 2008, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. Mr. Atherton was born June 28, 1927 in Paterson, New Jersey. He was a Systems analyst in the computer industry and was a Presbyterian. He Served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. Mr. Atherton was an avid golfer and was a member of the Old Waverly Golf and Country Club in West Point, Mississippi. He moved to Fort Meade from Mississippi 8 years ago, he recently moved to Vero Beach in 2005 to be closer to his family. He is preceded in death by his wife Rilla Atherton He is survived by his Two Daughters; Linda & Tony Russo of St. Albans, VT and Barbara & Tom Kennedy of Chevy Chase, MD. One Son; Robert D. Atherton of Vero Beach, FL One grandson; Robert Atherton of Palm Bay, FL One Granddaughter; Alexandra Kennedy of Chevy Chase, MD Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Saturday, February 23, 2008. Funeral service will be at Graveside at Evergreen Cemetery at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 23, 2008 . Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
