Richard A. Ginther

Richard A. "Dick" Ginther 77 of Bartow died Tuesday Nov. 16, 2010 from Respiratory Failure at Lakeland Regional Center. Born in Rochester, PA he moved to Bartow fifty six years ago from St. Petersburg. Dick was the owner and operator of Furlong's Pressure Cleaning Business that he started in 1976. He enjoyed High School Football and was a Referee for forty two years locally. Dick was a Avid Golfer and and spent alot of time at the Bartow Golf Course were he played regularly and participated in numerous charity tournaments held there. He was also a Army Veteran and of the Methodist faith. Dick was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Ginther and is survived by a son Richard K. Ginther and wife Debra of Bartow; brother Harry Wardwell of CA; sister Carla Dermody of Largo, Fl; companion Priscilla Farley of Bartow; two grandsons Richard K. Ginther II and Nick A. Ginther ; one great grandson Brent Ginther all of Bartow and lifelong friends Duane Peacock and wife Audrey. The family will receive friends Friday Nov. 19, 2010 from 10-11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral In Bartow and services will begin at 11am.
