Rich Till, of Bartow, passed away on February 14, 2023, after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on May 15, 1958 to Dick and Wilma Till of Bartow, Florida. After Rich graduated from BHS in 1976, he earned his business degree from Georgia Southern College. Shortly after college, he began his lifelong dream of competitive stock car racing in the Winston Cup Super Late Model Series. He raced for over 20 years before he retired from the sport to spend time with his wife Amy, and his new son, Daniel. Rich worked as a copier salesman for his family’s business, Till Office Equipment, for 32 years. For the past 11 years, he was an account executive for Boring IT and Print Solutions. He was well-known and loved by his customers and was passionate about helping others. Rich was an active, lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Bartow. He served for ten years on the board of directors for the Women’s Care Center of Bartow. In addition, he served as a treasurer for the Kiwanis Club for many years. Rich was a devoted husband, father, son and brother, and a beloved member of his community. He is preceded in death by his sister, Susan Waddell, and his grandparents, Ed and Edna Till. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Amy Till of Bartow; son Daniel Till and wife Sierra Till (Coffman) of Bartow; mother Wilma Till and father Dick Till of Bartow; brother-in-law Allen Waddell of Winter Haven; brother-in-law Matt Schuler of Lakeland; brother-in-law Bryan Schuler of Polk City; brother-in-law Scott Schuler and wife Karen of Jacksonville; nephew Eric Schuler and wife Jamie and daughter Loie of Boulder, CO; niece Melanie Sanchez and husband Andres and daughter Sophie of Jacksonville; nephew Wilson Waddell of St. Petersburg; nephew Aaron Waddell of Boston, MA. Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Bartow. Condolences to the family at www.whiddenmcleanfuneralhome.com .
