Rev. James "Harold" Davis

Bowling Green - Rev. James “Harold” Davis, age 87. passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024. He was born May 29, 1937 in Bowling Green, FL to Alvie and Dolly Davis. He served in the US Army. Harold was a Southern Baptist Minister for over 55 years. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Hardee County with 34years of perfect attendance. He was preceded in death by his wife Myrtie Sue Davis (30 years) and Ollie Perry-Davis (20 years), brother Ray Davis, and sisters Evelyn Reeder Davis and Joyce Swails. Harold is survived by his children Deborah Magann & husband Gary of Hot Springs, AR, Stephanie Herriman & husband Paul of Ellenton, FL, Granddaughters Kathleen Spence & husband Tim of Bradenton, FL, Elisabeth Herriman of Toledo, Ohio, Rachel Herriman of Ellenton, FL, Great Grandchildren Greyson, Olive, and Esther Spence, brothers Gerald Davis of Wauchula, FL, Troy Davis & wife Barbara of Lakeland, FL, Gene Davis & wife Judy of Wauchula, FL. Family will receive friends Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Immanuel Baptist Church 210 East Broward St in Bowling Green, FL. Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 am Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will be held at Wildwood Cemetery 800 South Woodlawn Ave. in Bartow, FL.
