Rev. Billy D. Crawford

Rev. Billy D. Crawford, age 72, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 in Bartow. Born January 29, 1949 in Lake Butler, FL, he was the son of the late St. Clair "Red" Crawford and Betty Grace (Taylor) Crawford of Lake Butler. Billy was a longtime Southern Baptist Minister, serving churches in Georgia, Alabama and Florida. Along with his father, Billy is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Kay Jones. Rev. Crawford is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 49 years, Gail Crawford of Bartow, his children: Brenda Staats of Bartow, Andy Crawford also of Bartow and his mother, Betty Grace Crawford of Lake Butler. He also leaves behind his siblings: Sue Adams (Benny) of Alachua, Barbara Sefcik (Bill) of Lake Butler, Pat Kuhr (Chuck) of High Springs, Martha Stein (Bill) of Lake Butler, Kim Barnett (Rodney) of Lake Butler, Wayne Crawford (Pauline) of Lake Butler, H.G. Crawford (Connie) of Lake Butler, Charles Crawford (Susie) of Lake Butler, Larry Crawford (Joyce) of Raiford, Lester Crawford of Lake Butler, his grandchildren: Kathryn, Austin, Todd and McKenzie along with many other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 13th from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home chapel.
