Reginald D. Palmer

Rev. Reggie Palmer, age 57, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 in Lakeland. Born March 4, 1955 in Bartow, he was the son of the late Walden and Frances Marie Palmer. Mr. Palmer was a lifelong resident of Bartow. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Palmer was the Senior Pastor at the Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church for many years. Along with his parents, Mr. Palmer is preceded in death by his sister; Brenda Martin and two great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Beth Palmer of Bartow, two sons; Charles "Jr." Palmer (Shelly) of Fort Meade, Bruce Palmer (Melissa) of Bartow, two daughters; Elizabeth Palmer Redmond (Bobby) of Bartow, and Carol Martin (Clint) of Bartow. He also leaves behind four sisters; Lois Loyd, Frances Hoskins, Teresa Hall, Stephanie Franklin, brother; Randy Palmer all of Bartow, twenty-six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. The family will receive friends Friday, December 7th from 5PM to 9PM at the Christian Home Free Will Baptist Church in Bartow. Services will follow Saturday, December 8th at 10:00AM at the Church.
