Rebekah Lea Stortz

Rebekah Lea Stortz, age 19, of Fort Meade, FL, died Sunday, September 14, 2008. She was born June 4, 1989 in Bartow, FL. Rebekah was attending Polk Community College and she was planning to go into the field of nursing. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. Rebekah was a Graduate of Fort Meade High School "Class of 2007". She also played softball and a was cheerleader for the Fort Meade Miners. She is survived by her Mom, Lois Stortz of Fort Meade and her Father, Thomas Stortz of Bartow. She is also survived by her two Brothers, Thomas Stortz of Tampa, FL and Stephen Stortz of Gainesville, FL and by her Grandmother Joan Stortz of Santa Monica, CA and her Grandfather Charles Johnson of Barre, MA. Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Friday, September 19, 2008. Funeral service will be at First Baptist Church of Fort Meade, 307 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL, Saturday 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Kenny Slay and Rev. Frank Derrick officiating.
