Rebecca Joann Stevens

Valdosta, GA- Rebecca "Becky" Joann Stevens, born November 17, 1966 moved to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 6, 2021 in Valdosta. Becky was born in Bartow, FL, and grew up in Fort Meade, FL, For the past 32 years, Becky has lived in the Aiken, SC area, but her heart and love for her hometown of Fort Meade remained connected. Becky's greatest love and joys were her family. Her grandchildren were the center of her heart, along with her great devotion to her children and mom. Becky never met a stranger and her love for people always shown through. Her strong faith in God and her trust in Jesus through all of her struggles with heart disease and diabetes remained firm. Preceding Becky in death were her dad William "Butch" Forsyth, her maternal grandparents, Grady and Rosa Mae Weeks, her paternal grandmother Margaret Forsyth, her sisters, Lee Ann and Karen "Cissy" and her brother Daniel. Becky is survived by her mother, Betty Joann "B.J." Weeks Gewin, her two daughters, Karen Forsyth (Fiancé Jason) of Aiken, SC., Bethany Stevens also of Aiken and her son Jason Stevens of Columbia, SC. She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Destinie, Alyna, KJ, Jayden, Alan, Jojo, and her brother, Jason Forsyth of Athens, TN, her two nieces, Jessica Lisk (Roy), Brittany Warren, her two nephews: Brandon Johnson and Justin West all of the Valdosta area. Also surviving are many cousins, her aunt "Mae" Mary Lamb of Winter Haven, FL and many extended family and friends. A celebration of Becky's life will be held on Monday, June 14th at 2:00pm at McLean Funeral Home in Fort Meade. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1pm to 2pm prior to the service in Monday.
