Rebecca "Becky" McDaniel Williams

Rebecca “Becky” McDaniel Williams, 91, of Bartow, FL, and Westminster, SC, passed away on April 13, 2026. She was born in Henrietta, NC, on August 9, 1934, to Audie M. and Mary Francis Weese McDaniel.

A graduate of Winthrop College, Becky dedicated her professional life to education in Bartow. She touched the lives of countless students throughout her career teaching at Bartow Elementary, Floral Avenue Elementary, and Stephens Elementary Schools.

Becky’s life was defined by her faith and her family. She was a devoted student of the Bible and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life-reading, sewing, crafting and dancing to 50s and country music. Above all, she cherished time spent with those she loved.

Becky was a kind and loving partner to her husband, Jim, for 64 years, and an extraordinary mother to their children. She is survived by her sister Geneal Matheny and her children who were the absolute joy of her life: Cyndi and husband Dennis Masters (children Daniel and Sarah); Jimmy and wife Vickie (children Jenny, CeCe, and Jimmy, and granddaughter Mako); and Leah and husband Tony Kouskolekas (children Nick, Aidan, and Sam). She also leaves behind beloved nieces and nephews, as well as those who viewed her as a mother figure and affectionately called her “Ms. Becky.”

She now joins Jim and their grandson, William Kouskolekas, in Heaven.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, FL. Services and interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL
