Raymond M. Smith, 91 of Fort Meade, Florida died on Sunday, July 8, 2012. Mr. Smith was born March 24, 1921 in Ben Wheeler, TX. He served in Army Air Corp as a gunner in World War II. He was a Float Plant Operator for Mobil Chemical. He was a member of Cornerstone Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Smith. He is survived by his daughter; Pam Filyaw & husband Leonard of Fort Meade and son; Wylie R. Smith of Sparta, TN. Sister; Lois White and Sister in Law; Freida Smith both of Van, TX. Three grandchildren; Candi Lott & husband Wes of Fort Meade, Leonard Filyaw & wife Brandi of Fort Meade and Wylie Smith, Jr. & wife Stacey of Orlando. Eight Great-Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at McLean Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL with the Pastor Bill Whitener officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade, FL.
