Raymond A. Wooten II, age 52, of Daytona Beach, FL, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 surrounded by family and close friends. Ray, also known as Raybo, was born February 26, in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Raymond and Mary Ellen Wooten and a member of McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church. Owner and founder of Stingray Bail Bonds for fourteen years. Ray is known for being an altruistic human being, which has led him down many different paths in life which included , volunteering for the Highland City Fire Department and being an EMT in the early 1990's. He was an avid reader and collector of anything, especially coins. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a genuine person with a heart of gold, taught others to value their recovery and pass it on, a jokester, and champion of social consciousness. For four years he has cherished the strong brotherhood that Solutions by the Seas and the abundance of Daytona Beach friends, who he has referred to as family. In his spare time, Ray would either be chauffeuring, greeting someone on the front porch at Solutions, or physically tending or being there for someone else in need. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen Wooten, his first true love. Survivors include his best friend and loving partner, Lisa Odell, in which their relationship gave him the opportunity to become a parental figure to Josh Lubniewski, Dianne White (Devin) and her children, Raymond Wooten, his father and number one supporter and Wendi Baker (Michael), Stephen Wooten (Debi) and Curtiss Kinard (Cindy) sister and brothers. Further survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and Bartow, Ocklawaha, and Daytona Beach friends. The family would like to thank the advisors and mentors at The Refuge, Solutions by the Seas and the staff and doctors at Halifax Health for their kind and exceptional care. The family will receive friends on July 9th from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11am at the funeral home chapel and casual dress is what Ray would want. Interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held later in Daytona Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Solutions by the Seas, Daytona Beach, FL or The Refuge, A Healing Place, Ocklawaha, FL.
