Rayborn Taylor

Rayborn "Ray" Taylor, 66, of Bartow, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Winter Haven Hospital of heart failure. Mr. Taylor was born May 6, 1943 in Donalsonville, GA. Mr. Taylor was a printer with Bartow Printing Co. for 25 years and with Florida Department of Citrus, Lakeland for 17 years. He was a Baptist. He was a 1961 graduate of Summerlin Institute. He was preceded in death by his brother: Clayton "Buster" Howard; grandmother, Mama Maude Murkerson; mother and Step-father, Hazel and Sammie Howard. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Carol Taylor; two sons: Stacey R. Taylor and Scott & wife Katie Taylor all of Bartow; brother: Edward "Bubba" Howard of Bartow; four sisters; Louise & husband David Williamson, Shelia & husband Jim Adams, Brenda Losh and Maude & husband Bjorn Jiskoot all of Bartow. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 8, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, 410 E. Church Street, Bartow. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
