Ray Beasley

LAKELAND - Ray Beasley, 90, of Lakeland died Thursday, October 27, 2016. He was born October 6, 1926 in Soperton, Georgia to Branie Beasley and Mollie Griffin Beasley.Mr. Beasley was retired from IMC Phospates after a long career as a Mining Foreman. He Was a member of the Winter Haven Moose Lodge #1023 and American Legion Post 8 in Winter Haven. He was a veteran of World War II, having serviced in the United States Army.He was predeceased by his parents; sons Jimmy Ray Beasley and Larry Kent Beasley; brothers Bill Beasley, Ezra Beasley, Lester Beasley, J.B. Beasley, Cecil Beasley, Quillie Beasley and Early Beasley; and sister Ruby Sunday. He is survived by his wife Wilda Beasley; son Michael Beasley and his wife Carolyn Joyce of NC; daughter Janet Trent and her husband Robert of Lakeland; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Bartow Church of God from 10AM-12PM with Funeral Services immediately following at 12PM.
