Lakeland - Raquel Carrion, 94, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019. She was born November 22, 1924 in Santa Cruz del Norte, Cuba. Mrs. Carrion was a Pharmacist specilizing in compounding medications. She was a member of College Heights United Methodist Church in Lakeland. She was preceded in death by her brother Dr. Juan Carrion. She is survived by her daughter; Evy Raquel Morales, four grandsons; Jose Piedra (Jacky), Francois Piedra, Roberto Piedra, Kevin Piedra, great grandchildren; Jennifer Piedra (Steven), John Piedra, Jessica Piedra, sister-in-law; Miriam Carrion, three nieces; Meylin Nickerson (Kelly), Lina West (Keith), Maritza Jackson (Chuck Ham), nephew; Juan Carrion, aunt; Oilda Carrasco, extended family; Ilsia Bello and Gene & Tina Spath. Family will receive friends Friday, May 17, 2019 from 9 to 10 AM at College Heights United Methodist Church, 942 South Blvd in Lakeland, FL. Funeral service will follow Friday, May 17, 2019, at 10:00 AM at College Heights United Methodist Church. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
