Rachel Ray Sikorski

Bartow - Rachel Ray Sikorski, age 83, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Spring Lake Nursing Center in Winter Haven of heart failure. The daughter of David & Josephine Barush Cochran, Mrs Sikorski was born January 14, 1929 in Bartow. She was a resident of Bartow until 1946 when she moved to New York, returning in 1978. Mrs. Sikorski was preceded in death by husband, Edwin T. Sikorski and a daughter, Charlotte Schubbe. She is survived by three sons: James Sikorski of Niagara Falls, NY; Paul Sikorski of West Seneca, NY & Dennis Sikorski of South Wales, NY; three brothers; Gerald Cochran of Bartow; David Cochran of Wheaton, ILL & George Cochran of Immokalee, FL; three sisters: Anna Laura Kowalak of Buffalo, NY; Betty Jean Jernigan of Winter Haven & Patsey Cribbs of Bartow; 12 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Friday January 18, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow.
